What is a Snipe Hunt?
A Snipe Hunt is an old practical joke. A gullible adventurer is sent into the wilderness to catch a bird that cannot be caught. Sometimes that bird is mythical, other times it’s a Snipe, which is just a very difficult bird to catch.
For the sake of this website, the Snipe Hunt journey is an entry point to fairytales, magic realism, adventure and nature.
who is the Snipe Hunt Witch?
A benevolent old crone that sends people to catch the snipe with absolutely no ulterior motives whatsoever, so don’t even worry about it.
She collects the diary entries, short stories, drawings, critical essays and any other type of art left by those who had journeyed to the Otherlands, and puts them on this website for all to enjoy.
